Amund Ulvestad Sound Vision

S O L O

MAGNET

Magnet is a piece for cello and electronics, where the sound of the cello is processed and fed back into the instrument via transducers. All of the sound in this recording is played live and is originating from the instrument itself. The idea is to expand the cello's timbral expressiveness without separating the sound from the instrument - hence the name Magnet.

Live recording from the concert series BLANK, Trondheim, 2015.

Svartsinn

Svartsinn is a dark ambient project by Jan Roger Pettersen. I have the pleasure of collaborating with him as a cellist live and, starting with The Borrowed World, also on record.

Vingelklang

Vingelklang is an electroacoustic impro duo consisting of Bernt Isak Wærstad (on guitar and electronics) and myself (on keys and electronics).

Nyberg/Ulvestad

A wholly acoustic free improv duo: Karl Nyberg on the saxophone and myself on the cello.

SVK

SVK is a Norwegian post-rock band consisting of Claus Sohn Andersen, Håkon Nybø, Kristian Mäkinen and myself. This song is basically just a manipulated improsession. For a more clean cut post-rock thing, check out the release Avernus.
